We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for performing various painting and finishing tasks to ensure the quality and appearance of surfaces. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas from paint splatter
- Repair damaged areas and perform touch-ups as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment during all painting activities
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction painting, concrete finishing, remodeling, or related field
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques
- Familiarity with construction estimating and ability to accurately measure and calculate materials needed
- Ability to restore and renovate surfaces as required
- Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in painting such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, etc.
- Basic carpentry skills for repairing damaged areas or installing fixtures
- Experience with drywall repair and preparation is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
